Beyond Chapel Hill

Alberto Cairo talks again on his web about his pupils at Chapel Hill, who never stop impressing me. The new Alberto's post talks about these little monsters' fisrts jobs. These fierces got class, and their firsts steps are at The New York Times, National Geographic, Time Magazine, MSNBC... whihc should be an unreachable goal for lots of us.
Have a look at those grahics, it really worths.
And also, that's not the only reason Alberto's has to be happy now...

Awarded students

Just a few students could say they've got international awards by homework, but some of these are Alberto Cairo's guys at Chapel Hill. The two bronzes obtained in Malofiej this year by their multimedia documentaries Chasing Crusoe and Atacama Stories are added to the gold they got by the first of this features at the SND.ies and the Pictures of the Year Award also awarded to the same film.
Alberto uploaded to his web some other works of these talents. Maybe one of them will be the next year Peter Sullvan...

Chapel Hill, the development league of infographics

As some of you already know, Alberto Cairo, former online graphics director at, teaches now at Chapell Hill University, North Carolina. Time to time he shows graphics of his pupils taht, saying the truth, impress me. I remember my university times, when Jaime Serra teached me, my graphics were very far from what this "freaks" (in the best meaning of the word) are capable to do. They study, as much of we infographics artists did, journalism, but with more specialized subjects, focused to visual information and multimedia. But, as you can see, most of their graphics are good enough at pro level. Congrats to Alberto for the work he's doing there.
