Malofiej 19 starts now

The SND-E has already uploaded on his web the first facts about Malofiej 19. Dates were already published months ago (March 20-25 2011). First days for jury and Show Don't Tell! (this year, the new thing is a workshop for mobiles and tablets), and the two final days for Summit and awards. .

And these are the speakers and members of the jury:

Paolo Ciucarelli
Politecnico de Milano
Associate Professor at Politecnico di Milano, teaches at the Faculty of Design in the Communication Design master degree. He has been visiting lecturer at Universidad de Malaga and The Royal Institute of Art (Stockholm) and participated to several postgraduate courses in other universities.
Since 2000 he represents the Faculty of Design in the European program “MEDes” (Master in European Design).

Jorge Cortés
La Tercera (Chile)
Infographics journalist ar La Tercera, on of the media that called the attention this year for its online graphics regarding the chilean miners.


Washington Post (EEUU)
Another product of that great factory that is Chapel Hill, works as Innovation Editor of Graphics at the Washington Post and teaches at the Northwestern University.

Stephen Few
Founder and principal of Perceptual Edge, a consultancy that was established to help organizations like yours learn to design simple information displays for effective analysis and communication.

Condé Nast (EEUU)
Maybe John Grimwade does not need to be introduced, even if ypu have not ever been at Malofiej. You may know him well by his work at Condé Nast Traveler, or have heard about his great lessons at the Show Don't Tell!.One the big ones.
Die Zeit (Alemania)
Art Director of the well known german newspaper. She has recently been jury of the  European Newspaper Awards in Vienna.

Joe Howard
The New York Times (EEUU)
They are so many and so good at The New York Times, taht I still have to confirm data about Joe Howard and talk about him without risks.

Clarín (Argentina)
Infpgraphics Director at Clarín, what is saying too many good things about him. He lived in the department where Serra and Tumas were chiefs, and know he's showing he is at the same or higher level.  

If you have ever looked for infographics in internet in the last two years yu may know Information is Beautiful, the product of this journalist focused on visuals. Ypu may have bought his book too.

Stanford University (EEUU)
From The New York Times school, having worked at Le Monde and author of the documentaru 'Journalism in the Age of Data', done in the John R. Knight Fellowship of the californian university.


San Diego Union Tribune (EEUU)
Matt Perry is infographics editor at San Diego Union Tribune, but he has also worked at the New Orleans The Times-Picayuneand have been intern at The Oregonian andAP.

University of Sydney (Australia)
Senior lecturer of the Design Lab of the australian University, inside the Faculty of Architecture and Design.



5W Infographics
One of those known name in infographics, the Velascos. His great expertise is the illustration and one of the owner of the infographics agency 5W, based in New York, Washington DC and Madrid. His charge is Creative Director.
